“Safe solutions for a sustainable supply”

WHAT IS AGROTECHAWARDS?

The agri-food sector has recently faced a great challenge due to the health crisis linked to COVID-19, suffering an impact at different levels. In particular, the pandemic had a significant impact on the distribution channels, which some of them were indeed lost during the lockdown period, as happened with the Horeca channel, implying in the same way the need for a rebalancing of supply to adapt to change in demand.

#AgrotechAwards challenges to seek technological solutions to respond effectively to the new context, alternatives that promote actively responsible ways of production and consumption and bring opportunities for both producers and consumers’ benefit.

OBJECTIVE

Search for solutions of a marked technological nature that, in the context of the pandemic caused by Covid-19 and based on sustainability and safety criteria, allow the strengthening and tightening of the relationship between supply and demand along the agri-food chain, enhancing the local commerce, as well as developing efficient food distribution strategic.
